A Benediction Revealed: In 1979, 2 tiny silver scrolls were found in Jerusalem, dating from 600 B.C. It took years to interpret the ancient Hebrew writing as the original priestly blessing: May the Lord bless you and keep you; may the Lord cause his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; may the Lord lift up his countenance and grant you peace. Some theorize that the scrolls were either worn around the neck with a cord or carried in a pouch, to offer protection and blessing to its bearer.
Beth created this necklace to replicate the ancient talisman: the writing is etched into a fine silver sheet, rolled and fired. 24k gold plate on the second fire. The result: a meaningful and beautiful necklace to bring peace and blessing to its wearer.
This necklace is designed to make present an ancient artifact. It is inspired by the archeological find of tiny silver scrolls inscribed in early Hebrew with the beautiful blessing still spoken today.
